As part of the Forum of Latin American and Caribbean Countries on Sustainable Development, the Interreligious Alliance for the 2030 Agenda; the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC); Religions for Peace Latin America and the Caribbean; Cáritas Latin America and the Caribbean (SELACC) and Joint Action Alliance of the Churches (ACT Alliance) invite the parallel event “The contribution of faith-based organizations to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in the context of the crisis of democratic governance and human mobility” to be held on April 25 in its virtual and in-person modality.

The event seeks to discuss the challenges that faith-based organizations face in implementing the SDGs in the face of crisis situations in several countries in the region. In addition, it aims to give way to dialogue and reflection, where experiences can be shared on issues related to the effects and proposals of migration and democratic crises in Latin America and the Caribbean.

It should be noted that this event has the participation of the Latin American Episcopal Council (CELAM); Latin American Council of Churches (CLAI); Lutheran World Federation (LWF); Alliance of Presbyterian and Reformed Churches of Latin America (AIPRAL); World Vision Latin America and the Caribbean; Regional Ecumenical Center

for Counseling and Service (CREAS); Committee for Assistance to Disasters and National Emergencies (CADENA); Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS).
