In response to the call from Cáritas Antilles, the Youth Emergency Action Committees (YEAC) continue to set an example of solidarity and service by providing constant support to the island of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, after the devastating passage of Category 5 Hurricane Beryl, which impacted the Caribbean in early July. This phenomenon left a trail of severe damage on the most vulnerable populations, and the mobilization of YEAC's young volunteers has been crucial in bringing relief to affected communities.

In a spirit of dedication, trained YEAC volunteers have been organizing and distributing essential supplies, such as flashlights, tarps and hygiene kits, in the most impacted areas, including the main island of St. Vincent and Union Island. Their tireless work is not only providing immediate respite to those in need, but also highlights the importance of solidarity action and community engagement in times of crisis.

Cáritas Antillas, through YEAC, CRS and other organizations, remains steadfast in its commitment to providing both immediate and long-term support to communities facing the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl. As Saint Vincent and the Grenadines progresses in its recovery, the role of these young volunteers stands out as a fundamental pillar, and their dedication continues to be a beacon of hope and resilience for the entire region.
