From the Latin American and Caribbean Secretariat of Cáritaas, in association with our sister Cáritas from Spain and France, we invite the MAGRE teams from Latin America and the Caribbean to participate in the generation of collective knowledge by sharing experiences of disaster management and first response. The call to share experiences is open from August 5 to September 5.

This call is a call to review what has been done, in order to recognize the considerations and skills deployed in risk management and/or crisis management-response initiatives to local emergencies in conjunction with community actors; no evaluations involved.

We hope to generate knowledge from practice; studying what has been done in the initiatives deployed, placing emphasis on looking at the processes beyond the result obtained from what has been done. Understanding above all that positive and negative results always entail teaching-learning.

Up to five initiatives will be selected to be systematized and presented in the Workshop of experiences of the Community of Practice in Community Management of Disaster Risk of Social Pastorals - National Caritas of Latin America and the Caribbean, in person mode to be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.
