Cáritas Latin America and the Caribbean is pleased to present its Strategic Framework for the period 2024-2031. This document details the vision, mission and strategic objectives that will guide the organization's actions in the coming years, marking significant work in its journey towards social change and promoting the well-being of communities in the region.

The foundation of this strategic framework is based on an in-depth analysis of the needs and challenges that characterize our region, as well as the strengths and competencies inherent to the National Caritas to address them. Its conception has been a collaborative process, developed in close coordination with the Cáritas of the region, strategic partners and the community in general, ensuring a collective, participatory and synodal vision.

Cáritas LAC reaffirms its unwavering commitment to addressing inequalities and promoting social justice in all its operations and programs. Cáritas is committed to working tirelessly to guarantee equal access to resources, services and opportunities for the most disadvantaged communities.

In the words of Mons. Gustavo Rodriguez, president of Cáritas LAC, "we do not seek perfect plans or great strategies that will lead us to the success of our mission. We seek to be servants, from the deep identity of the Lord who looked at each and every one of us, there, when we were next to our boat and told us 'follow me'; and that we more or less fearfully left what we were doing and followed him."

This Strategic Framework recognizes the need to collaborate to achieve sustainable and meaningful change. Cáritas LAC is committed to forging strategic alliances with organizations, governments, communities and other stakeholders, with the aim of maximizing the impact of humanitarian actions.

The new Cáritas LAC Strategic Framework represents a solid commitment to drive positive change in Latin America and the Caribbean. Together with all National, diocesan and parish Cáritas, Cáritas advances towards the construction of a more just and equitable society.
