Cáritas Latin America and the Caribbean shares its experience at the Assembly of the CELAM Economies Platform
From November 29 to December 1, Cáritas Latin America and the Caribbean participated in the Assembly of the Economies Platform of the Center for Pastoral Action Programs and Networks (CEPRAP) of CELAM, held in Bogotá, Colombia. This meeting was represented by the Regional Livelihoods and Food Security Team (MVSA) of Cáritas LAC, made up of Loreley Leiva (Cáritas LAC), Bibiana Rodríguez (Cáritas Colombiana) and Giovanna Kanas (Cáritas Brasil).
The Economies Platform is a meeting space that seeks to promote fair, supportive and equitable economies, based on respect for human dignity and sustainability. Through enriching dialogues and the exchange of good practices, this network fosters collaboration between diverse actors, inspiring significant changes towards a humane, comprehensive economy rooted in the values of the people, diversity and territorial inclusion
The MVSA team of Cáritas LAC has played a fundamental role in this platform, contributing its experience in supporting local and community processes, from a territorial and articulation perspective. Your participation reaffirms Cáritas' commitment to building a more just, supportive and fraternal economy, in line with the principles of the Social Doctrine of the Church and Francis' vision of the Economy.
This event not only strengthens the capabilities of the Cáritas network, but also opens opportunities to advance in the promotion of initiatives that positively impact communities, working for a more just and sustainable future for all.
