Cáritas Latin America and the Caribbean opens a call for teachers and tutors in Safeguarding
In line with its mission to encourage processes of social transformation and promote a just and fraternal society, the Latin American and Caribbean Secretariat of Cáritas (SELACC) has announced the opening of the selection process for the teaching staff and tutors of its next Diploma in Deepening Safeguarding.
This academic initiative arises at a crucial time for the region, where the implementation of safeguarding policies and the protection of minors and vulnerable adults have been become an absolute priority for the Catholic Church. The diploma seeks to provide Cáritas pastoral agents and staff with technical and ethical tools to prevent any form of abuse or neglect.
Profile of applicants
The call is aimed at professionals with experience and training in safeguarding, protection regulations, civil and/or canon law, institutional management and pastoral accompaniment, to teach the contents of the Diploma in Deepening Safeguarding, guaranteeing methodological, academic and pastoral.
Those selected will have the responsibility of pedagogically accompanying the students, facilitating the learning modules and evaluating the development of practical skills in virtual learning environments.
Key dates and application process
- Reception of applications: until May 17, 2026
- Selection and interview process: from 1 to 2026 June 5, 2026.
- Start of work: July 15, 2026.
