The Latin American and Caribbean Secretariat of Cáritas (SELACC) has opened the selection process for the "Design Consultancy of a Toolbox for Community-Based Disaster Risk Management (DRM)". This initiative is part of the regional project "Building resilience from the local; strategies for preparedness, prevention and coordinated response to emergencies in Latin America and the Caribbean", implemented in partnership with Cáritas Española and Secours Catholique-Cáritas France.

The main purpose is to design, develop and validate a comprehensive community-based Disaster Risk Management (DRM) toolbox that is accessible, transformative and participatory. The tool will be used by national, diocesan and parish Caritas in Latin America and the Caribbean to improve their emergency preparedness, prevention and response capabilities.

Profile required

The call is aimed at professionals or teams with at least two years of accredited experience in:

Training: Social or exact sciences with a specialty in GRD.

Methodology: Mastery of participatory techniques and group management.

Skills: Systematization of experiences and preparation of technical documents.

Languages: Fluent Spanish (English and/or Portuguese will be valued).

Conditions

The consulting process will have a maximum duration of six months, taking place between May and October 2026. Interested persons have the deadline to submit their application on April 13, 2026. After the evaluation phase, the selected professional or team is expected to begin their work on April 28, 2026.
